If you are hoping to build a site that can compete on any level I'd recommend building a bespoke system rather than putting a third party forum in place of what is typically a file sharing website, albeit .txt files with guitar tabs. Before I answer any question properly it would be useful to know your competence levels in PHP, MySQL and even (X)HTML. It's just as easy to use textareas to copy and paste your tabs for storage in a database table.
