tqla
hello. I want to host my content in a CMS on one server and access it from another website on another server. When I include the MySQL server code in my page include('http://mysite.com/cms/admin/includes/db_connection.php'); i get the following error: Warning: include() [function.include]: URL file-access is disabled in the server configuration I understand why it is disabled so I don't want to change this. My question is this. Is there a way to include text from a DB on one server into a website on another server correctly and safely? Thanks. awpti
PHP is a parsed language. Trying to 'include' a PHP file from another site will get you the final resultant output of that script, not the content of said script. Yes, you can pull DB content from one server to your own - provided you have the username/pass stored locally or in a flat format file you have access to.
