i am new and confused on how i would make a large a-z list and then make every word or line

a link to its own template page, is it the $_GET way?

this relates to my question on how to go from a search page which i have built to a template, i unerstand how to pull stuff from forms but how do i do links?

Quick example

// display the links
$letters = range('a','z');
foreach($letters as $letter) {
print "<a href='search.php?letter=".$letter."'>".$letter."</a> |
}

// ***********
// search.php
// ***********
mysql_query("SELECT * FROM table WHERE field like '".$_GET['letter']."%'");
// display results
