corbin Posted January 16, 2009 Share Posted January 16, 2009 Hrmmm it seems that there are multiple name scopes in an HTML doc, so maybe it gets them from all scopes. Otherwise, I'm wrong ;p. Hrmmmmm.... The name tag would have to use to me if it weren't supposed to be unique, but hey, I guess that's what ID is for. Anyway, when ever code stops freezing, there is always a reason why. If it freezes during the call to insertBefore, insertBefore is failing for some reason. It's either not a method (because insertHere is not an object) or the parameters are incorrect. I would guess var insertHere = document.getElementsByName('comment_add')[0]; isn't working for some reason. Try doing: alert(insertHere) and the output should be object or element.
