I am making a php spider and need to get the link from an <a> tag. I was going to use preg_match_all to get the content from the tag, but someone suggested using DOM to do that. Does anyone know how this is done? Any help is greatly appreciated.

                                        Thanks John

This might help, it is not using dom

or

or this might work

$code = "<a href=\"test\">test</a>";

$code = preg_replace("/\<a href=([^\[]+)\>(.*?)\<\/a\>/","//1",$code);

echo $code;//should print test
