Darkmatter5
I have the following divs <div id="sections" style="float: left; width: 100px;">sections</div> <div id="buildings" style="float: left; width: 150px; border-left: 1px gray dashed;">buildings</div> <div id="bldlvl1" style="display:none;">bldlvl1</div> How can I force the bldlvl1 div to be just below the buildings div, intead of floating to the right? Thanks! Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/145961-more-help-with-floating-divs/ Share on other sites
Darkmatter5
Ahh "clear:both;" did it. But how could I get the "bldlvl1" div to fill all the way across the page to the edge of it's parent div as all three divs are contained within a div named "content"? Like this: <div id="content"> <div id="sections" style="float: left; width: 100px;">sections</div> <div id="buildings" style="float: left; width: 150px; border-left: 1px gray dashed;">buildings</div> <div id="bldlvl1" style="display:none;">bldlvl1</div> </div> Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/145961-more-help-with-floating-divs/#findComment-766307 Share on other sites
jcombs_31
You're currently setting bldlvl1 to display:none; so how are you even seeing what is is doing? Darkmatter5
Oh it gets turned on by a radio button on the page. That shouldn't affect the div. jcombs_31
What is it doing now? A div is a block element and should fill the width of its container. Do you have a link you can provide?
