Help!! php starter

Hi Folks,
          I am new to PHP and i am desperately trying to configure IIS to pass my PHP queries.I have done everything

1) download the installer and intalled it ..didnt work

2)download the zip file and extracted to c:\php and then everything on the page http://www.visualwin.com/PHP/
it didnt work too....

I dont wana give up can someone please HELP me get started!!1

Type in http://localhost

should see the php defult page ok.
Wish i new all about php DAM i will have to learn

i made a php  file

<?php
phpinfo();
?>

saved it in the c:\inetpub\wwwroot and then in interner explorer typed :  http://localhost/info.php

didnt work !!! i should have mentioned this earlier ..sorry!!

Did you install using IIS 4+ on the PHP installer?

And from the looks of the page, are you actually running a MS 2003 server?

I am running IIS 6.0 with Windows 2003... and i did everything one that page give on top and even tried configuring it manually .. didnt work :(
