dadamssg
im looking into learning how to charge credit cards. I want to program a bidding site, where ill create a cron job to figure out the highest bidder and then charge that persons card. i was wondering if i can do this with php? i know a fair amount by now about php to do certain things but have no idea on how to go about implementing php with charging cards. can anyone point me in the right direction? and...yes i understand ebay and using other sites would be easier.... JD*
What you need to look into is a payment gateway. It's not a limitation of PHP, it's a service that can actually interface and do the charging, much like having a swiping machine at a store allows the card to be charged. It's in your best interested to just study up on them and pick the one that best suits you. Once you find one, they should have instructions on how to forward the appropriate information to them for charging.
