Javascript Errors on all Browsers using http://127.0.0.1/ & http://localhost/ ?

I have a flash drive that houses my XAMPP Lite, FirefoxPortable, and Notepad++ for PHP/HTML/CSS/AJAX development on computers without internet access. My problem is that every AJAX tutorial or demo script I've tried learning with has not worked on the 4 to 5 computers I've tested them on using Firefox Portable, Firefox Full, and Internet Explorer6.0/7.0/8.0. But, when I upload the tests to a dedicated web host server and view them they work fine. Different computer but same OS and browsers as the computers without internet.

 

What could be the problem?

A lot of different things could be wrong....  What's the JS code look like?
