matfish
Hi there, I have some huge error and access logs. I use Plesk, it had a delete option for the access logs after I download them. I guess they will be created again once downloaded? The error logs do not have a delete option, If I locate these on the server and delete, will these be re-created also? Many thanks Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/156812-huge-error-logs/ Share on other sites
steviewdr
I don't know about plesk, however most *nix systems have a logrotate script which gets run as part of a cron job. The logrotate script compresses old log files so they only take up a fraction of the space. Logrotate also removes very old log files. -steve Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/156812-huge-error-logs/#findComment-826643 Share on other sites
