daydreamer
I am making an affiliate site, users will be from the UK and USA. It will have products from UK and USA sites, I want to cater to both markets. What techniques can I use to accurately tell where a user is coming from? Also will this effect googlebot? Thanks.
gevans
Your best option is to use geolocation by IP check this link out http://www.linuxjournal.com/article/7856
GingerRobot
Is it really necessary? Most websites offer you a chance to select your location on the home page and there's always a link to change from other pages. It's never going to be 100% accurate. More trouble than it's worth IMO. daydreamer
Unless your google (are you?) I am Google, but only on the weekends. So the problem persists. http://www.linuxjournal.com/article/7856 - Thanks for the link gevans now checking it out, looks interesting. Yeh I was thinking about having a location selector page, but I thought it would be cool to do it dynamically.
