html, body {

min-height: 100%;

max-height: 100%;

margin:0;

padding:0;

font-family:Verdana;

font-size:12pt;

color:#000000;

}

#main_C {

width:100%;

height:100%;

background-color:#009999;

margin: 0 auto;

text-align: center;

}

#main_D {

width: 800px;

margin:0;

background-color:#336666;

padding:0;

text-align: center;

}

main_D wont center within main_C I've used a similar technice before, so I don't understand why its not working for me this time.

I am trying to get main_D to center within _C so I can have a centered layout.. while having it stretch to the bottom.. But I don't see what I am doing wrong to not have it center, _D sits to the left, and wont budge... any suggestions?
