PHP is my preferred language, as I am relatively new to Python, but I have noticed that Python is much quicker at processing various things, and for this reason have built most of my website in Python. However, I would still like to use PHP, for the sake of readability, to process the simpler things and be responsible for the output (into templates and whatnot). So my question is, how can I use PHP to collect the output from a Python script? I can't use file_get_contents or any file-based functions as it is on the same host, and therefore PHP would surely just return the source of the page? trq Posted June 1, 2009 Share Posted June 1, 2009 You'll probably loose any speed differences you may have noticed but anyway... If your python scripts are being run via mod_python, you could simply pass the url to file_get_contents and apache will procces the request and you'll get the output.
