I'm thinking on taking a PHP w3c certified exam, I'm just wondering if it is really worth doing, will it really boost my profile as a web developer or be a complete and utter waste of money? trq Posted June 2, 2009 Share Posted June 2, 2009 w3schools is in no way related to the w3c. And no, I wouldn't say a cert from them would pull any weight. Its simply a tutorial site (and frankly, not a very good one). The only php cert that I would think would pull any weight would be one of the ones offered by zend, but even those from all reports are very simple to pass and therefore not really worth the paper there written on. Search our Misc board and you should find some already existing topics on the subject.
