While other techniques tend to provide a steadily increasing flow of traffic. To begin with i would do a bunch of directory submission, and add my links in relevant forum threeds. Just make sure not to spam your sites, that would do more harm then good. Advertising in appropriate websites is a must, but if you go buying traffic you would get just a computer generated clicks that aren't worth the money.
