Why exactly would you want to encrypt the WordPress footer anyhow, the file is open source after all so anyone can download the package and see the core coding. redarrow Posted June 13, 2009 Share Posted June 13, 2009 if you don't mind using a online service you can do it for free use goggle. if it only a link then you need a html free encrypted online service. if you got money to spend then zend is correct place. please remember all encryption is man made , so what man makes man can brake there nothink encrypted that can not be unencrypted. maybe best bet to use a free JavaScript encryption code. if your distributing free anything, then copy right the code , also make sure user's have to apply via online to down load your free code. you could also ask the user for the domain name the code will be used on, then encrypt the url or ip address, and if it correct use the free project on that web site.
