The Little Guy
Hi, google has a way to check your page rank, for example if you go to this URL: http://www.google.com/search?client=navclient-auto&ch=6-1484155081&features=Rank&q=info:phpsnips.com you will see my page's rank (The number after the last colon). Does anyone know if alexa has something similar? Currently I use f wrappers, and regular expressions to find the rank, but it doesn't always work. corbin
I would guess that it's possible through http://aws.amazon.com/awis/. Looks like it costs money though.
The Little Guy
Yeah, that isn't going to work, I need it to be free, since I am sharing the code with many people
corbin
Well... That seems to be the only API to Alexa that would do you any good. So you'll have to stick with scraping unless you can find something else. (Also, considering Alexa has a paid API, I would imagine that scraping their web page is not allowed in their rules... Not sure though.) Everyone exists to make a profit. It's good that some services have free APIs, but hey.... Alexa has to make money too.
