calander and selecting month

im trying to chnage the month shown within the calander by changing the url.... so for example if i wanted to show july i would have my url as http://www.runningprofiles.com/members/Admin?m=7&y=2009 (7 beeing july)  but the thing is it wont chnage the date :S  it keeps with the current date no matter what i add to the url.
