Seekingsolution
Hi all I am at wits end, trying to find a solution. We run procmail as our mail handler. Placing autoresponders on it is not a problem but I am seeking a different solution and cannot source one anywhere. The idea is this, I would like to on a certain email address place an autoresponder where if a mail is received on this address, it will automatically generate a reply to each mail but the subject line must contain text with a sequential number. In other words, each mail that is received should automatically be replied to with something like "Your mail has been received, your ticket number is 100. The next mail to this address must be 101 and so on. The body will contain the same text but the subject line must increase sequentially with no duplicates. The autoresponder will then forward this reply to the person that initially mailed it and also to another specified account for our reference purposes. I have searched high and low for a solution similar to what I want but cannot find anything. Perhaps it is terminology, but have not been able to source a solution. Can anyone help me or point me in the right direction. trq
You might want to post this in the Linux board, it has nothing at all to do with php.
