Hi here’s some code I wrote earlier

//page1.php
<a href=”page2.php?id=1”>Item 1</a><br />
 <a href=”page2.php?id=2”>Item 2</a><br />
<a href=”page2.php?id=3”>Item 3</a><br />
<a href=”page2.php?id=4”>Item 4</a><br />
<a href=”page2.php?id=5”>Item 5</a><br />

//page2.php

<?php
session_start();

if(isset($_GET[‘id’])
 {
     $_SESSION[‘shopping_cart’] = $_GET[‘id’];
  }

?>

Simply what I want is a way for $_SESSION[‘shopping_cart’] to be able to hold all the id’s for each respective item selected.  For example if the user selected item 1, 3 and 5 the value for $_SESSION[‘shopping_cart’] should be 1, 3 and 5.  How could I do that?  Can the session become an array and I could loop through it with a foreach loop?

thanks very much but I was hoping someone could show me "codewise" how $_SESSION['shopping_cart'] could end up holding all the id's for each item chosen
