liamloveslearning
Hi everyone, I know this is probably a really stupid thinkg to ask but its something which I've never understood, but why do certain websites have more than one stylesheets? like ive noticed some have a style sheet for there nav, one for their page and one for the hacks, is it just for organisation? why cant they put it all into one stylesheet and leave comments by each section? Thanks
trq
Mostly for organization but also for optimization. If you have a huge website you might need need all your css definitions on every page. You have one base css file, then load others as you need them. It also allows you to simply override previously defined rules depending on your needs. liamloveslearning
ahh okay thanks, by override rules do you mean in the instance you give an object 2 styles? and depending on what style sheet is loaded that defines its behaviour?
