A good regular expression for testing email addresses

Hi there,

I'm sure this question must have come up before, but having searched through the forum, I can't actually find an answer to it.

I'm looking for a good regular expression to use in order to test the validity of an email address before it gets inserted into a database.

Any links or suggestions you have would be really appreciated.
