PHP PASSWORD PROTECT

Hi,

I am sorry if I have posted this into the wrong section how It's possible that htaccess is my soloution. I am not very handy with code and therefore am trying to find a quick and easy soloution to the following problem.

I have a website however it must be strictly password protected. It is coded completley in php. I understand that htaccess can provide simple password protection however I have two problems with this.

1. It does allow for you to implement a login form

2. It does not allow for extra features such as user profile changing page.

Of course I can live with out the first one but the second is nessarcy to allow for easier maintaining.

Hopefully someone has come  accros some nifty soloution in the past.

With thanks,

Brian

Hey,

Yeah - It has croossed my mind many times and I would be happier to use php over .htaccess due to the fact that I am using a windows computer. But I have not yet been able to find a FREE soloution that supports the wanted features AND WORKS...

Thanks,

Brian
