could use this. Put this in the login.php file or what ever you use after the user name and password are correct.

 

		setcookie('username', $_POST['username'], time()+60*60*24*14, '/', 'site.com', NULL, TRUE);
	setcookie('password', md5($_POST['password']), time()+60*60*24*14, '/', 'site.com', NULL, TRUE);

What about one WITHOUT defining everything?

Now, I hate to be an @$$  but.

 

I have now learned sessions is better.

 

I have:

 

if((!isset($_SESSION['id'])) || (!isset($_SESSION['username'])) || (!isset($_SESSION['password'])))
{
unset($_SESSION['username']);
unset($_SESSION['password']);
unset($_SESSION['id']);
$loggedin = 0;
}
else {
$loggedin = 1;
}

 

in connect.php

 

What exactly needs to be in  the login script make that function correctly?

 

 

I am not sure if I understand what you mean. Please explain more.
