deansatch
Not sure what you mean by brake, but if you mean it stops rendering the page at the first include it might be because you are using short tags with short tags switched off. i.e. use <?php ?> instead of <? ?>
craigtolputt
i have changed the tags to <?php ?> but it still stops rendering the page after the first include?
deansatch
Did you change them in the include files too? Also, turn on error reporting to find out where the error is
craigtolputt
the only place i changed them was in the includes?? where else do i need to do it. Also how do i turn on error reporting? sorry to be a pain but im still new to php and learning
deansatch
put this at the top of your file <?php ini_set('display_errors',1); error_reporting(E_ALL|E_STRICT); ?>
mikesta707
I'm just guessing here, but It probably has to do with your nested div tags. try removing the div tags in the forms page and see what happens? and what exactly happens when you render the page. does stuff not show up? does stuff show up in the wrong position? If so, i think its an HTML problem and not a php problem
craigtolputt
if you go here http://www.tktest.co.uk/branston you can see it working fine with just the BOOK A TOUR form included. and if you go here http://www.tktest.co.uk/branston/test.php you can see if break when i include all three forms
deansatch
Look at the end of your source code: <b>Fatal error</b>: Cannot redeclare isemail() (previously declared in /home/sites/tktest.co.uk/public_html/branston/signup.php:152) in <b>/home/sites/tktest.co.uk/public_html/branston/booking.php</b> on line <b>191</b><br />
mikesta707
well here is your error message: Fatal error: Cannot redeclare isemail() (previously declared in /home/sites/tktest.co.uk/public_html/branston/signup.php:152) in /home/sites/tktest.co.uk/public_html/branston/booking.php on line 191 it seems you are trying to declare a function twice. check your booking.php page and see if it declares the function isemail(). craigtolputt
I think i need this function in all the forms though to check that the email is a correct email?? is there a way around this or shall i just remove it?
mikesta707
the problem is that you already have the function in signup.php and you also ahve it in booking.php. if you are including signup.php already, you don't need it in booking.php or vice versa
craigtolputt
ah i see so if i include a php script then i can use it in others? cool. sound ill take it out of booking.php and contact.php and see if this works. cheers
mikesta707
yep. if you include multiple pages on one page, all the pages included on that one page can use any function/variable on any of the other included pages.
