Knowledge Base script recommendations?

Hi,

 

I am looking for recommendations for a free (or low cost) PHP-based "knowledge base" package for my company's web site. I am currently tracking down candidates on my own, but then thought that getting some feedback would make the process go faster.  Hopefully I chose the right board area.  I'd prefer something that allows

 

1) subdividing articles based on company division, product, etc., article search, administrator statistics, all the usual things

2) a separate area for software downloads...although I suppose these could go in additional categories to 1)

3) user authentication (this is not meant for public access), password recovery, etc.

4) email notification for knowledge base and software updates

5) the ability to disable most/all "interactive" features. This isn't meant as a community forum.

 

Any suggestions?
