moses1492
MYsql v.5.1 Hi everyone, I'm trying to write a query that selects data from two tables. my code so far is. SELECT accounts.idAccounts, accounts.firstName, accounts.lastName, accounts.isListed, profile.headline, profile.currentPhotoFileName FROM accounts LEFT JOIN profile ON accounts.idAccounts = profile.Accounts_idAccounts WHERE accounts.idAccounts = 'value' I only want it to return one row for each idAccounts match. however I get multiple rows for the same id, but in the headline column I get values from other Id's besides the one I have in the 'value'... I don't think join is what I want to use here but I'm new to writing queries and don't know what I should try. any help would be great. fenway
Well, which "one" of the many matching rows would you want... how would you decide?
