[SOLVED] Getting Dynamic Browser URL From Address Bar

Recommended Posts

I've got a script to allow me to echo the URL of the current page on the page itself, but it won't seem to work with dynamic urls (such as services.php?service=name).  I'm not completely sure what I need to change.  Any ideas?  Thanks!

<?php
function curPageURL() {
$pageURL = 'http';
if ($_SERVER["HTTPS"] == "on") {$pageURL .= "s";}
$pageURL .= "://";
if ($_SERVER["SERVER_PORT"] != "80") {
  $pageURL .= $_SERVER["SERVER_NAME"].":".$_SERVER["SERVER_PORT"].$_SERVER["REQUEST_URI"];
} else {
  $pageURL .= $_SERVER["SERVER_NAME"].$_SERVER["REQUEST_URI"];
}
return $pageURL;
}
?>

try $_SERVER['REQUEST_URI'] by itself

I don't have one made right now..and I'm too lazy to fix everything to set up a server right now

but if you create just a simple phpinfo() file

it will give you a list of all the SERVER variables and you can just pick out the one you are looking for.
