herghost
Hi All, How do you save a date from a form to mysql database? (phpmyadmin) i have the field as a date in myphpadmin and the field as a text field in the form but it just saves as 00-00-0000. is it easy to do it with one of those lovely popup calenders you see everywhere? Have never worked with dates before! Cheers Quote Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/174198-solved-saving-dates-from-forms/ Share on other sites
Zane
it just saves as 00-00-0000. You sure it doesn't save it as 0000-00-00? Mysql's date datatype is YYYY-MM-DD which means you'll have to write your script to format whatever the user enters into that format. Yes, using those fancy calendar script's would make it easier..I've never used one or set one up so I don't know how much of a pain they are to set up..I'm sure it isn't anything more than a text file though.
