[SOLVED] set session.gc_maxlifetime via .htaccess file

Recommended Posts

I need to extend my user sessions out quite a bit from default as my users are going to be uploading very large files.  I have attempted to do this via an .htaccess file. But php info seems unchanged.

any ideas?

</IfModule>

IfModule mod_php5.c>

php_value session.gc_maxlifetime 86400
php_value session.save_path "/var/www/sessions"
