shane18
MySQL Charset: UTF8........ does that mean the mysql connection is UTF8? when you SET NAMES UTF8 does that make the mysql charset UTF8 which basically means your connecting to mysql using utf8? corbin
Short answer: yes. Less-short answer: It means that data sent across the connection will be encoded as UTF-8. (Both dating being sent to the server, and stuff going away from the server.) But, remember that your tables must also be UTF-8 or it's pretty pointless.
