I'm truly tired of opening with this... but please no PC vs. Mac bickering, etc.

So no matter how many times I change the default application for my .tpl files on my Mac, it keeps thinking the new ones I make are 'Adobe Photoshop Tools Preset Files'... If I right click, 'Get Info' and set the default app to Smultron (my text editor), then choose apply to all, all the existing ones work fine. If I right click, choose open with, choose smultron and choose always open with, it works for that file. And finally, if I make a new file in smultron and just save it, it works fine. But the issue is that I prefer to use the Terminal while I develop, because I find just 'touch' ing my new files to be a lot quicker. When I 'touch' them though, they default to Photoshop Tool Files.

It just annoys me, and I was wondering if there was any solutions anyone else has found.

Thanks, Josh.
