dan_swiger
I have a HP 2133 mini laptop that has a SUSE Linux 10 operating system. I can download programs in Linux but not install. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
trq
Suse comes with a package manager called YAST. It should be in your menu somewhere.

whit3fir3
To be able to help you out any more we would need to know what it is you are trying to install. As Thorpe pointed out Suse does come with a package manager called YAST. I personally have never use Suse as I am just more of a Ubuntu / Fedora fan, but assuming what you are trying to install is kept in one of your YAST repositories all you should have to do is YAST install packageName. If what you are trying to install is NOT kept in one of your current repositories you can add new repos with the zypper command.
Ken2k7
Install Ubuntu and all your problems will be solved. In what sense does installing Ubuntu solve any problems?
Mchl
It can solve many, but all? Most importantly it can't solve 'I want/need to have SUSE (for whatever reason)' problem.
trq
People often get over enthusiastic about there distros of choice. Its a shame really as it doesn't normally help much. Its the same story with Linux users who continually bash other OS's. Its just not a good example of how Linux advocacy should be conducted.
