on the homepage (phpfreaks.com), there seems to be a whitespace running right down the middle of the page .. it's rather large and i wouldn't think that it's for aesthetic purposes.  i know it hasn't always been like that, but it's been this way for a couple days now (maybe longer, i usually go straight to the forums).

take a look:

EDIT: i'm using Firefox 3.5.4 on Windows 7

just tried in Chrome and it displays fine.

using Firebug, if i change the width of <div id="col2"> in 'media/css/screen.min.css' from 359px to 358px, it shows correctly, side-by-side.

that 1px is causing the second column to drop down below the first.

i have a widescreen monitor .. nothing is being squeezed on the screen .. cache has been cleared (and verified in Cache folder).

using:

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 6.1; en-US; rv:1.9.1.4) Gecko/20091016 Firefox/3.5.4 (.NET CLR 3.5.30729)

good call.

being zoomed-out was actually the issue.

i zoomed-in 1+ (reset zoom in the browser) and it's fine.  it's that stupid ctrl+scroll-wheel trick that must've got me.  must have happened without me even noticing.  wouldn't have thought it'd mess with the CSS to that point.

my bad .. didn't mean to cause panic, i just really had no idea i was zoomed out at all.
