Diamonds with question marks showing up

Hey all,

I have a PHP admin where i can copy and paste text to update the front end of the site. But for some reason when it gets dumped into the database it shows up with question marks in diamonds on the front end.

I know its a formatting issue, but any ideas on how to resolve this?

Example would be at:

http://www.bradhagermlm.com/memoRead.php?memo_id=4

Any help would be great.

It's because a particular type of character is used and the charset of either your output or your database connection are not set up to support it. Looking at your HTML it appears you have set UTF-8 using the meta tag for ContentType which means it's probably the database connection. Just after connecting to the database you can set the character set for the connection. Off the top of my head I think it's something like...

mysql_query("SET CHARACTER SET utf8");
mysql_query("SET NAMES utf8");
