I am setting out to make a website for our schools newspaper, and would like to be able to enter all articles into a database, and have it available for everyone to search for and see. What I would like to do is make a web page template for displaying the articles and then once an article is clicked on, have it appear on the template. Also, on the front page of my website, I would like it to automatically pull the latest article entered into the database for each category and display it.

I have looked on many tutorials, youtube, here, and all over and either can't understand them, or right from the begging they are talking over me. I basically need a step by step approach on how to create and make all of this, (making and connecting a database, entering data into a database, pulling it, and displaying it on my templates.) For testing my website, I signed up for 000webhost.com and there version of MySQL is 5.0.81-community.

If anyone has a tutorial on this specifically or could point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated. This is a very new concept for me.
