sciencebear
I can't seem to apply CSS to the drop down arrows in the <select> tag or to the browse button in the <input type="file"> tag. I can use CSS on the rest of the tag, but these will stay as if I applied no CSS to the tag.
haku
Some browsers will let you style them a little, but most browsers don't allow these elements to be styled.
jcombs_31
Unfortunately you have to use some javascript to get fancy drop downs. They basically replace the select tag with divs or lists that are styled and provide the same basic functionality. I've tried a couple solutions in the past and they aren't worth the extra work in my opinion.
sciencebear
Well that stinks. Unfortunately, the default elements looks really out of place on my website. Can anyone refer me to a tutorial on how to do the javascript?
