Is there any PHP MYSQL Software that will simulate a real database?

I apologize if this thread is in the wrong section, but I was wondering if there is any software out there that will simulate a real database for offline use.

I need to use this to test PHP and I want to simulate it first to make sure there are no errors.

There is no need to simulate when you can download and install the actual software on just about any PC - http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/

The point of me simulating is that I don't have any databases yet and I want to start creating a site that requires them. Will the MYSQL Software do that?

The MySQL software is a real database server, so you can create your own databases using it
