For example While im typing, for example "I don't understand" it shows what I have currently written. It will display it on a page viewable by all. Im guessing this is AJAX. As User A starts typing in a textbox on the "wave" User B, who could be in a different country, let alone a different network, can see what User A is typing, straight away. As if User B is watching User A's screen. (well except it will Say "User A" after what he is typing) User B has to be invited to User A's "Wave" for this to work.
