well i was trying to get it to align with the body code (see below) ( i just tried the above code and still aint working) think its the body code?

<?php

if(!isset($page)){
$page = "home";
}
if(isset($page)){

// start page options + subpages
if(!isset($subpage)){
if (file_exists("$page.php")){
	include("$page.php");
		} else {
	include("page_not_found.php");
		}
} else {
	if (file_exists($page.'_'.$subpage.'.php')){
		include($page.'_'.$subpage.'.php');
			} else {
		include("page_not_found.php");
		}
	}
// end page options + subpages

} else {
	include("home.php");
}
?>

Where are the variables $page and $subpage defined? I guessing they're coming from the url? eg yoursite.com/file.php?page=home&subpage=foobar

If what I'm guessing is correct then the variables $page and $subpage need to $_GET['page'] and $_GET['subpage'] instead.
