rajivgonsalves
you can't run both of them together unless you do some major configuration changes, choose one, or uninstall WAMP then install XAMPP in any ways your going to mess up your configuration. zesoft.net
yea first I tried to run my wamp which was already installed and I worked with it for 6 months but suddenly it din work you can see the screen shot in the first image in the status bar of the browser "waiting localhost " then I uninstalled wamp and installed xampp and tried then also the same problem I did not install them both ! rajivgonsalves
I suggest uninstall both, then install one. also check if IIS is running it won't let apache run on the same port, you have to understand that WAMP and XAMPP and consolidated packages of Apache, Mysql and PHP so you will have to uninstall apache if you installed it separately and even mysql Good luck

rajivgonsalves
conf/httpd.conf, also check all the other stuff, please completely remove the softwares restart your computer and reinstall them, also install xampp in c:\xampp, it has some issues in program files when running on vista and above, permission issues
