Looking to add imagemagick support to an old uploader script

I don't know a lot about PHP, sometimes I can piece together what I need but this one is beyond me.

Basically, what I need done is to take that old image upload script by celerondude (like the one found here:)

http://otonly.com/index.php

(php code here: http://www.celerondude.com/php-uploader-v5)

And then have it automatically resize in width/height/filesize any pictures that are over 1024x768 (and maintain aspect ratio). I want it to do this only on images that are too large to begin with and do it all behind the scenes so there's no user interaction... basically if a user uploads an image too big, they don't even know it'll be changed other than seeing the final result has been resized for them.

Is this the forum to go for help like that or to find someone willing to do it for a price or should I just post a bid request on a site like rentacoder?

I'll have to take a look at the freelance board. The problem is I have no idea what I should pay for something like this. I don't have a lot of money to get it done but I want to be fair at the same time.

That's kind of why the bidding system at rentacoder appeals to me. I just put a max that I can pay and see what happens.
