mickolasjae
I've been trying to set some restrictions on what kinds of files can be uploaded. Such as: file type and file size. I am pretty new to PHP and have exhausted all my efforts. I have been able to restrict it to just jpegs and gifs successfully but for some reason when I try to add an operator in there to let txt files upload or some other file type I'm unable to. Any help would be great. <?php $target_path = "uploads_tmp/"; $continue = "upload.html"; $target_path = $target_path . basename( $_FILES['uploadedfile']['name']); if($_FILES["uploadedfile"]["type"] == ("image/jpeg") || ($_FILES["uploadedfile"]["type"] == ("image/gif") { move_uploaded_file($_FILES['uploadedfile']['tmp_name'], $target_path); echo "The file ". basename( $_FILES['uploadedfile']['name']). " has been uploaded"; } else{ echo "The file must be a jpeg or gif"; } ?> Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/189340-upload-file-restrictions/ Share on other sites
