Hello,

I want to add on my WebServer the function exec, so i can execute from the webbrowser specific scripts to manage my server.

I enabled the safe_mod, but i couldn't execute scripts.

Someone told me i have to add a vhosts.conf file, and i added it to /var/www/vhosts/#domain#/conf/vhost.conf

the vhosts.conf contains these lines:

<VirtualHost>
    php_admin_value enable_function exec
</VirtualHost>

After i restarted my WebServer, i still couldn't exec scripts. To test if the exec command works, i wrote this php file:

<?php
error_reporting(E_ALL);
echo exec('whoami');
?>

If i execute it, i see a blank page with no text >.<

I dont know what i can to else to allow the exec function.

I use apache2 and plesk if this information can help you to help me...

vhost allows your server to answer to multiple domain names. What you should look at is your php.ini file. There should be a directive "disable_functions". Remove the ones you wish to use and save the file. You must then restart apache.
