Status: Resolving address of ftp.***.com Status: Connecting to ***.47.247.***:21... Error: Connection timed out Error: Could not connect to server Status: Waiting to retry... Status: Delaying connection for 1 second due to previously failed connection attempt... Status: Resolving address of ftp.***.com Status: Connecting to ***.47.247.***:21... pornophobic Posted May 17, 2010 Share Posted May 17, 2010 The timeout could happen for a few reasons. If your college has blocked port 21 on their routers, you wouldn't be able to connect to any ftp servers outside of the network. The server itself could be down, that is, the ftp software may not be running or it could be listening on a different port.
