Hello all. To begin with I am fairly new to all of this so please bear with me if I do not get the wording exactly right.

I'm helping a friend by redisigning his business website from frames to CSS. He also has a blog to supprt the site. And he's in the process of moving to a new server. We have a copy of his WordPress database installed on the new server. But he's still working off the old server until we get the new design up and running.

The other day his WordPress blog is erroring out when we visit the page and when we try logging in it says that the site cannot be found (404 error). Yet when I go into his phpMySql on his cPanel I can see his blog database and all of the files. A friend of mine said that this more than likely is due to the user privalages being messed up. I looked in MySQL and sure enough there is not a user set for the database. (I forgot to mention that he also has a php FAQ database that has stopped working as well, and there is no longer a user for the FAQ databse)

I created a user with what I believe to be the username that was used before. But when I applied it in the MySQL it didn't seem to fix anything.

Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this?

Thank you for your time and help!!!
