Okay then let's find out what would be good for you.

Do you like to code everything from the bottom up yourself?

Do you want the IDE to autocomplete functions and methods?

Do you want an IDE JUST for PHP or multiple languages?

Do you want support for FTP?

Do you want an open source IDE that supports plugins?

Do you want an IDE with advanced error/debugging tools?

Any other specific requirements you may have?

Free software?

Yeah well you could of course say yes to all of these questions but that would just make it more difficult to find one.

Some people prefer Notepad++ since it's simple and gives you the posibility to control everything from the very start of your source.

Others like NetBeans IDE, Rapid PHP, Dreamweaver, UltraEdit, Crimson, Eclipse and many more.

There's a longer list here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_PHP_editors

Hope you find what you need :)
