teamatomic
Verisign does mainly certificating in the visibled arena, though they are heavily involved in DNS activity and security isssues. They bought the much hated NetworkSolutions(netsol) that was the first registar of domain names. Then sold the visible part of it. Over the years they have pretty much done as they pleased and have been sued/slapped numerous times and always seem to exit a shit storm smelling like old spice. Behind the scenes verisign has basic control of the .com names, and run the main root server for .com and .net. They still(i think) actually "own" .com as from an ICANN lawsuit settlement. All registars who do .com really buy/sell through verisign. Good luck getting them to even listen to you, let alone care. Just curious, have you recently applied for a certificate? Mchl
They're also a provider of OpenID accounts, so if your site uses this form of authentication, it might be traffic related to this. otuatail
Hi. No I havn't used their services. They appear to have a NetRange: 69.58.176.0 - 69.58.191.255 So will block this ranges and give them a nice include('404.html'); exit; That will piss them off. Desmond.
