EchoFool
Hey i have a file_exists function that checks full urls to file locations but it does not work... my function is as below: <?php function imagecheck($Path){ If(file_exists($Path)){ return ($Path); }Else{ return ('http://www.mydomain.com/images/default.png'); } } ?> The url to the image is correct as i put the full url in my browser and it found the image but file_exists does not :S In this situation my variable is $Path = http://www.subdomain.mydomain.com/images/items/name.png; can any one figure out why it won't work yet the file does exist as currently it returns the "default" image :S Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/196317-file_exists-not-working/ Share on other sites
hitman6003
The manual states that the stat functions are not supported for http/https locations. This means that file_exists will not function. http://www.php.net/file_exists (see the "Notes" section) http://www.php.net/wrappers.http (see the "Wrapper Summary" section) Link to comment https://forums.phpfreaks.com/topic/196317-file_exists-not-working/#findComment-1030887 Share on other sites
