how to run php sript from a dvd

hello;

 

I have a flash application that uses php/mysql;

 

the client is interested in packaging the whole app on a dvd to give out;

 

QUESTION: is it possible to run a php script from a dvd?

 

I suppose that maybe I would need to "install" apache/php/mysql onto the dvd  .... is this even a sensible thought?

 

or any other ideas please;

hmmmm....never ever thought of this

i dont think so..it will work but try using the usb version of the xampp..

try ur luck..

xampp is pretty cool; I always installed all of the items separately ... usually took me several hours or more;

 

 

I wonder if the executable can run off a dvd ... I would imagine that regardless of whether the xampp exe could run off of the dvd, it still requires somewhere to install it and in such a case I imagine that a dvd user would be prompted for an installation location.

in the usb version i think there is a possiblity for you to install it some where and then write the same in the dvd, but i never tried this before..
